Cambodian, Thai Tourism Ministers Hold Third Bilateral Meeting in Bangkok

Bangkok, 18 July 2024: Minister of Tourism Sok Soken led a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia to attend the 3rd Cambodia-Thailand Bilateral Tourism Ministerial Meeting from July 17-18, 2024, in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand. This event was organized at the invitation of Sermsak Pongpanich, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand.

Minister Sok Soken and his delegation departed Cambodia on July 17, 2024. Upon arrival in Bangkok, Minister Sok Soken had lunch at Liu Restaurant, hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand. The luncheon served as a precursor to the main bilateral meeting on July 18, 2024, at the Conrad Bangkok Hotel. The lunch was hosted by Deputy Minister Phonphum Wiphatphumiprathet and Secretary of State Penpisut Jintasophon.

In the evening of July 17, 2024, Minister Sok Soken attended a dinner at the Blue Elephant Restaurant, hosted by Sermsak Pongpanich. The Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand extended a warm welcome to the Cambodian delegation, emphasizing the importance of the bilateral meeting.

The 3rd Bilateral Meeting of the Tourism Ministers of Cambodia and Thailand focused on enhancing tourism cooperation between the two countries, discussing strategies to boost mutual tourism, and addressing any challenges faced in the sector. The collaborative efforts aim to strengthen the tourism ties between Cambodia and Thailand, fostering economic growth and cultural exchange.
